So another year is coming to a close, and this has certainly been a difficult one in my life. After three funerals, the hardest and most emotionally shaking one being at the beginning of the year, I'm actually surprised at how I'm still swimming. She was the most wonderful person in my life, but when her Alzheimer's kicked in a few years ago, it became harder and harder to cling on to the happiness I had found and been gaining in my life thanks to her lessons she'd taught me as a young child. I never once prepared myself to life without her, and now the first Christmas without her is coming up. I'm trying to be strong. I'm trying to hold ont
